How to apply for a diving Certificate of Competence (CoC)
Divers who work underwater are required to hold a Certificate of Competence (CoC) as an Occupational Diver. This page explains how to apply for a CoC and provides relevant forms & notices.
- Applicants should carefully read the application form as there is important information about the evidence that must be provided with your application.
- An application is not considered complete until WorkSafe has received the appropriate fee and has been provided with all evidence required by the regulations.

Processing times for Diving Certificates of Competence (CoC)
WorkSafe aims to process Diving Certificates of Competency (CoC) applications within 20 working days of receipt of a complete application.
